Fibre Network Africa offers Outside plant (OSP) installations of fibre optic cables to the curb and installations into the building (home or business -FTTx). The company uses approved and generally accepted equipment and tools for:
o Floating of micro fibre and drop fibre
o Splicing
o Terminations
o Testing (Continuity, OTDR, certification)
o Installation of cabinets at termination point (computer/server room)
o Installation and termination of Fibre Optic cables into cabinets (ISP-related)
o Ongoing onsite support and maintenance (including testing) of existing fibre infrastructure
The staff have many years of Micro-trenching experience and have completed many projects. We, however, don’t have our own micro-trenching machine; but for everything else we own our equipment. From a civils perspective, the company also offers Trenching Services which include:
o Excavation and backfilling of the trench
o Installation of ducts – underground, aerial or along walls.
o Duct Integrity Testing (DIT)
o Installation of underground junction boxes
o Construction of brick manholes
o Installation of cylindrical manholes
o Installation of underground and aerial fibre.
o Reinstatement of the work area
